Kat Gunn
〔Katherine Gunn (born April 20, 1988), also known by her tag "Mystik", is an American professional gamer and cosplayer. She's most well known for winning the second season of WCG Ultimate Gamer on the Syfy Channel. She also competed in the Championship Gaming Series which aired on DirecTV. She currently streams on Twitch.tv as a member of the professional gaming team Team Dignitas. She plays a variety of games from all genres, but considers herself most proficient in first-person shooters and fighting games.
==Early Life==
Kat Gunn grew up in Antelope Valley, California, primarily in Lancaster and Palmdale. Her father, Patrick "Wolf" Gunn and mother, Pamela "PJ Salty" Gunn, raised Kat alongside her older brother Peter and older sister Samantha (aka Cherry). The entire family played games together as Kat was growing up. Outside of video games, Kat's family owned No Weasels, a comic book and trading card store in Canoga Park.〔 It was one of the highlights of Kat's youth and helped feed her interests in video games and trading card games. With easy access to trading card games, Kat's love for Magic: The Gathering grew, but that wasn't the only TCG she played. Kat would dabble in the Pokémon trading card game, securing several rare gold foil Japanese cards.
When Microsoft first announced the Xbox Live online gaming service, Kat was one of the original beta testers. MechAssault quickly became one of her favorite games, alongside Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge. It didn't take long for Kat to hit the top of the leaderboards in the Wild Chicken online mode.
